We Adhere to the State of California's Licensing Requirements 

Under The Orange Trees is licensed through the state of California. To be granted a license, the facility must meet certain physical safety standards (for example stairs must be gated, working smoke detectors must be present, the fire extinguisher must be replaced every year, any body of water must be gated, all medications, poisonous cleaners and sharp utensils must be out of reach, etc.).

In addition to the safety precautions for the physical space, other precautions are taken as well. For example:

• Fire drills must be performed and recorded every 6 months
• Emergency plan in case of disasters must be created
• Every adult living in the family child care home must be finger printed and back ground checked
• The child care provider must have CPR and First Aid certifications
• The children’s files must be completed before attending; which require emergency contacts, alternate pick up designations, and vaccination records
• The provider must record all children on a posted roster
• Any unusual incident or change to the facility must be reported to licensing
• NO one is to pick up a child without being designated by the family, prior to pick up, and having an ID

These are just a few of the licensing requirements!

Licensing performs random inspections and I adhere to all licensing requirements.
